About Trullo dei Noci

The iconic trulli, cone-shaped houses of Puglia, are made of roughly worked limestone, generally constructed by landowners and farmers as temporary field shelters and storehouses. A remarkable example of drywall construction, a prehistoric building technique still in use in this region.

Trullo dei Noci dates back to the 18th century and was built for the wine grape processing. It has now a new life thanks to a conservative and meticulous restoration of the oldest part, and a careful and integrated extension of a modern annex: a new “lamia”. From a rural property, it has become a comfortable and contemporary accommodation, including 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and living room.

Trullo dei Noci is a travel destination itself, offering the opportunity to savour Apulian traditions, rediscovering the simple pleasures. Here you can relax and read a book by the rest area, have a swim in the pool and taste a fresh cocktail, cook and dine with your family or friends in the al fresco kitchen, or simply appreciate the shade under one of the many centuries-old olive trees.

Trullo dei Noci is the best place for a secluded escape, conveniently located between Northern Salento and the hearth of Valle d’Itria. From here you can explore the villages of Martina Franca, Cisternino, Ostuni, Alberobello, Polignano A Mare, Monopoli and many more; you can relax by the sea in one of the various bays, and of course flavour the Apulian food & wines.
This is the art of slow living.
